Let’s start here with a BIG fuck you to Mike Lee of course our most dignified president added his logic. He just saw 12.1 million people,
many Republicans and supporters, protesting the way he is trying to turn Americans on to each other, for the sake of his little ego in hopes of a civil war

So, 57-year-old Vance Boelter is a Trumper which means he is also
A Christian and was deeply involved in religious activities throughout his life. He reportedly found Jesus as a teenager and later attended Christ for the Nations Institute, a charismatic Bible college in Dallas. He was ordained in 1993 and even founded a ministry. Boelter also preached in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he delivered sermons at evangelical churches. In those sermons, he spoke about Christian joy, criticized abortion and LGBTQ rights, and referenced spiritual warfare—ideas often associated with certain charismatic or Pentecostal movements
While his religious identity was clear, it’s important to note that his alleged actions have been widely condemned by Christian institutions, including the church he once attended, which stated that the violence he committed was “the opposite of what Jesus taught his followers to do”
His former Bible college, CFNI, strongly condemned his actions, stating that they “unequivocally reject, denounce, and condemn any and all forms of violence and extremism” and clarified that phrases like “violent prayer” were meant to describe fervent spiritual passion—not physical aggression.
It’s very unfortunate that in America God & Guns just seem to go together.Because one doesn't go with the other. The phrase “God and guns” is deeply rooted in American history and identity, especially in parts of the South and Midwest. Faith—especially Christianity—has played a major role in shaping communities, from early colonial days through the civil rights movement and into today’s political landscape. Even today Churches our being used for not just spiritual needs , but also hubs for social and political organizing. Together, these two pillars—religion and gun ownership—form a powerful identity for many. They reflect values like tradition, freedom, and resistance to perceived government overreach.
I still ask people to show me in the Bible the line where GOD says” it’s okay to bear arms”. I have asked that question many times on the Cspan facebook page, Not an answer in sight.( a few rude comments, but…)
I’m guessing that the phrase “God & Guns” will be around way past my time on this good earth. If people’s belief is this strong on the topic of guns, where do the teachings of Christ fit into their lives?
